New BVNA Advisory Board members appointed
Operating independently of BVNA Council, the BVNA Advisory Board provides support relating to governance and strategy to both Council members and the BVNA staff team – ensuring BVNA continues to strongly serve its members and the veterinary nursing profession.
Some current members of the Board complete their 3-year term this year and so, from October, BVNA will welcome its new Advisory Board members:
• Wendy Nevins, RVN( Chair)
• Lyndsay Hughes, RVN
BVNA announces incoming Council members
This year ' s new BVNA Council members, who are beginning their 3-year term, will be ratified during the BVNA AGM at BVNA Congress on 10 October( 15:15 – 16:15, Pattingham room). BVNA received an unprecedented volume of applications in 2026, which were also of an exceptional standard.

• Kirsty Cavill, RVN
Samantha Morgan, RVN, will be extending her term, while the current Advisory Board Chair, Jo Oakden, RVN, will be completing her term and stepping down.
The incoming Advisory Board Chair, Wendy Nevins, commented:“ I am honoured to have been appointed Chair of the BVNA Advisory Board and grateful for the confidence placed in me by BVNA Council.
“ I look forward to working with the Board to draw on the experience and expertise of its members, support the work of the BVNA and continue championing the veterinary nursing profession.”
