Amy is a qualified veterinary nurse with over 20 years ' experience in clinical veterinary practice , including 15 years in leadership . She has a keen interest in mental health and welfare , and is a wellbeing champion and mental health first aider . Amy has been a Schwartz Rounds facilitator for 4 years and , more recently , a Schwartz Rounds mentor . She was the first veterinary professional to undertake the training ; successfully transferring Schwartz Rounds from human healthcare into veterinary practice . Amy currently works as a practice director in a busy multi-site first opinion and referral group and is a qualified coach and mentor .
