It would be difficult to prioritise time for Schwartz Rounds if meetings to discuss organisational , individual and team issues were not part of the practice agenda . In addition , in the organisation described , a fair culture and civility at work are prioritised , promoting psychological safety so team members feel they can tell a story in Schwartz Rounds without fear of repercussions . Schwartz Rounds enable the team to hold a discussion about the emotional impact of veterinary work on themselves , thereby helping to reduce the stigma of poor mental health in relation to work and promote further individual discussions about mental wellbeing within the team and with line managers . To this end it is important to continue this journey .

Conclusions
Cornwall 15 suggests that team members attending Schwartz Rounds restore their original motivation for embarking on a career in healthcare . The author , having implemented and experienced Schwartz Rounds , feels they are a welcome organisational offering . However , they are only one part in the jigsaw of creating a supportive culture for practice teams . The feedback received and attendance at Schwartz Rounds have been hugely positive , and further evaluation of the veterinary team ’ s experiences will be extremely interesting . It would be particularly compelling to research panellists ' experiences and the barriers for non-attendees , to help make Rounds more accessible to greater numbers .
In a busy veterinary practice environment , you cannot stop the unexpected , but you can stop to reflect . If that reflection reminds veterinary professionals why they do their job , it would be a wonderful outcome for the people themselves and their patients .
