ANAESTHESIA REFRESHER COURSE

This course covers the basics of veterinary anaesthesia and will be suitable for anyone who wants to refresh their knowledge – those returning to work after a break, final year students who are preparing for their exams, clinical coaches helping students with anaesthesia, or anyone who needs a reminder concerning current practice. The Anaesthesia Refresher Course covers all the information needed to perform routine anaesthesia, from admittance to discharge of the patient. There will be a section on basic physiology, as a means of introducing the topic. Different types of equipment, breathing systems and scavenging will be discussed, as will the use of intravenous fluids. Analgesic techniques such as constant rate infusions and the use of local anaesthesia will also be covered. Aimed at Vet Nurses and Vets
