BVNA Congress 2025

Photos and reflections from this year ' s special 60th anniversary event

BVNA Congress 2025 celebrated 60 years of BVNA in style, with 1960s-themed fancy dress, some special happy-hour cakes and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the three-day event.

The exhibition hall was buzzing with exhibitors promoting their products, as well as the Maker ' s Market where veterinary nurses had a chance to show their artisan crafts and wares.
There were streams covering the whole veterinary nursing profession, across lectures, seminars, workshops and panel discussions.
Natasha Widdowson, Head of Veterinary Policy at Defra, attended to update delegates on the process for the proposed reform of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and was available on the BVNA stand to answer any questions.
The 1960s-themed dinner dance was a huge success, with live music from The Velveteens and some fantastic costumes – check out the yellow submarine on page 13!
The BVNA team is already planning Congress 2026, so keep an eye out for news of the incredible scientific programme in the New Year.
Some serious concentration in the suture workshop. The popular wound workshop.
