VN Futures at BVNA Congress
Communication in the veterinary workplace can be challenging – whether it ' s ensuring smooth and clear interactions with colleagues , requesting a salary review from management or discussing care with clients . The dedicated communication stream delivered by VN Futures on Friday 11 October will equip you with skills to confidently navigate challenging conversations .
There will also be VN Futures workshops asking what you think – or hope – veterinary nursing will look like by 2035 . Topics will include education and training , the structure of care delivery , practice culture and what veterinary nurses can do . The sessions will explore how positive change might be achieved and the steps needed along the way . Visit The Hub in the exhibition hall on the Saturday between 12:00 and 13:00 or the Sunday between 10:30 and 11:30 with your ideas and aspirations for the veterinary nursing profession .
Message from BVNA President Lyndsay Hughes
We are so excited to open the doors of Telford International Centre to the veterinary nursing profession once again this October for BVNA Congress .
The scientific programme provides a great variety of lectures and workshops – one of our real strengths is that we always ensure there really is something for everyone . I ' m especially looking forward to the ‘ Progression ’ morning streams , which are in line with my presidential theme this year . Make sure you also join us for the new ‘ in conversation ’ debates , where you will have the opportunity to lead the discussion on what matters to you and the veterinary nursing profession .
A regular feature of BVNA Congress is the presentation of the BVNA bursaries and awards – this is a fantastic opportunity to highlight those individuals who have been an inspiration within the profession .
BVNA Congress also provides the perfect space to unwind and catch up with colleagues and friends – whether you ' re taking some down time between lectures in the exhibition or joining our fabulous social events . We can ' t wait to see you there !
