Reflecting on her selection of Vetlife as her charity of choice , she is in no doubt about its increasing significance to VNs .
“ It was a privilege to select Vetlife as the chosen charity for my presidential year ,” she says . “ They provide an exceptional service for the veterinary profession . Changes to the Vetlife Articles of Association in 2022 meant that registered veterinary nurses could become full Vetlife members , stand for nomination as trustees , and apply for financial support , which is fantastic .
“ I am very proud to be part of the Vetlife and BVNA communities , so this collaboration is very dear to my heart . I have no doubt that the partnership between the BVNA and Vetlife will benefit the veterinary nursing profession and help improve the wellbeing of nurses for many years to come .”
Vetlife ' s president , Graham Dick , also welcomes the closer ties between Vetlife and BVNA .
“ I am extremely pleased that the recent changes to Vetlife ' s Articles have embraced the significance of veterinary nurses as an essential part of professional veterinary teams ,” he says . “ The Memorandum of Understanding between Vetlife and BVNA further helps both organisations to work closely together to enhance support for the veterinary nursing community .”
