Emma qualified as an RVN in 2016 . She has always had a passion for small animal emergency and critical care , animal welfare and wildlife conservation , so a year after qualifying she undertook a certificate of veterinary nursing in emergency and critical care . In 2018 , she became a locum RVN in referral and general practice in the UK and spent time travelling , working and volunteering in South Africa , the Cook Islands , New Zealand and Australia . In 2022 , she qualified with a Level 3 certificate in small animal hydrotherapy . She currently works as a locum in general practice and emergency and critical care .
