BVNA Council elections
The statement of results , issued by the BVNA Council
Earlier this year , BVNA called for nominations to fill vacancies for three RVN and two student members of the Board of Council . Thank you to everyone who participated in the elections .
The poll was conducted online and closed at midday on 7 July 2023 . Ten valid nominations were received . There were 212 voters from a total of 6038 eligible voters – a turnout of 3.51 %. The Board of Council guides the focus of BVNA campaigns for and on behalf of veterinary nurses . It was therefore disappointing that so few of you were able to make time to vote for the person you want to represent you on the Board and advocate for the veterinary nursing profession .
The nominated candidates ( in alphabetical order by surname ) and the number of votes cast for each are detailed in the table below . The successfully elected Council members , and a reminder of their manifestos , are shown overleaf . Congratulations to them all . We look forward to welcoming them to the BVNA Council in October .
